District Context

Longwood Drive District enters the city's landmark system as district number 34. It was designated on November 13, 1981, and the city currently describes the extent as 12 blocks on the west side of Longwood (2100W) and three blocks on the east side of Seeley Ave. (2400W), between 98th and 110th streets. Laid out in 1873. Longwood Drive District preserves a frame large enough for street layout and parcel rhythm, contributing buildings and shared fabric, and district-scale preservation decisions to be read together.
