The National Register nomination gives 1950 West Pershing an identity that would be easy to miss if the district were read only through its biggest buildings. This was U.S. Post Office Station C and the Central Manufacturing District Inn, not another anonymous warehouse bay. That matters because it shows how the CMD organized support functions within the same carefully planned environment as its manufacturing spaces.

The structure sits alone on the north side of Pershing Road while the monumental warehouse wall occupies the south side. That makes 1950 West Pershing one of the clearest threshold buildings in the district.
