The Former Printing Landscape

The permanent casino site sits on land associated with the Chicago Tribune Freedom Center, one of the large production landscapes that helped define the North Branch as a working corridor. Its conversion marks a visible shift from printing, freight, and industrial service uses toward entertainment, hospitality, open space, and parking.
